Welcome Message

Welcome!

I am a Professor and Co-Chairperson of the Department of Strategy and Human Resource Management at the University of Waikato Management School.  The School has AACSB, EQUIS and EMBA accreditation and has been the No. 1 business school in New Zealand as rated by the government’s PBRF.

My Personal Philosophy is to imagine a world based upon excellence, passion, extraordinary performance, and vitality, where organisational performance is celebrated by its amount of collaboration, nurturing and compassion. Where healthy, wealthy and happy people and planet are the indicators of success. Where grace, gratitude and purpose are forms for guiding organisational life. I believe a transformation is occurring whereby the old paradigms of global competition are falling to be replaced by collaborative interdependence. This is seen in the world of partnerships, networks, and organic organisational forms. Yet, in this emergent time, how do we practice?

LIVING DEEPLY is my mantra for teaching, research and consulting. I enjoy assisting in transformation at personal, organisational and regional levels through collaborative qualities that nurture and enhance human capability and energy. Living deeply emerges through the spirit, the life force, of sustenance.

Check out my Inaugural Professorial talk if you want to know more about why this perspective is important (you need to skip to about 7.00 before it starts). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv-QAi9GRAc&feature=youtu.be
